Skills Bootcamps at Bath College
Skills Bootcamps are courses run over a maximum of 16 weeks which range from online evening delivery to one day a week on either our Radstock or City Centre Campus to allow for flexible learning for adults with life commitments.
Developed by the Department of Education as a part of the Government Lifetime Skills Guarantee, they have been created following the identification of skills gaps in the locality and aim to provide learners with the skills to get a job in the relevant discipline, to upskill within their current role or to be able to develop their own business further.
Skills Bootcamps not only provide learners with a skill but also with wrap-around support which can include SEN, Maths, English, ICT and employability skills if relevant or required. Run in conjunction with local employers, enrolling onto a Skills Bootcamp will also provide learners with a guaranteed job interview for a live role with a local employer.
We have previously run Skills Bootcamps in Welding, Web Design and Digital Marketing, with courses run at various points throughout the year. They are free for anyone over the age of 19 living within various areas in the South West.
